The Advanced Process Technician will support the new product development team in completing day-to-day testing and data analysis.Responsibilities:
  • Understands product development needs in compounding, molding and testing in support of new product development
  • Collaboratively works with team in test identification, sample preparation, test submission, and summarize result for product development
  • Hands-on completion of analysis results in support of product development
  • Customer support in application testing, trial support, and sample preparation
  • Coordinates shipments of laboratory samples into and out of the company, ensuring all safety and technical documentation included
  • Lab safety and maintenance
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED
    • Associates or bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering related field a plus
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in a lab or equivalent environment (plastics production experience)
    • Laboratory experience - in basic polymer testing (mechanical and thermal testing , molding) preferred
  • Knowledge of twin extruder and polymer processing is a plus
  • Understand basics in injection molding and/or extrusion is a plus
  • Advanced analytical techniques
  • Ability to be accurate and thoroughly document lab records
  • Ability to accurately follow lab instructions
  • Strong commitment to safety and working safely.
  • Self-motivated with a strong motivation for accurate results
