The Administrative Specialist III
provides administrative support for the Department of Radiology Pediatrics Division. The Administrative Specialist will coordinate administrative processes and prioritizes, directs, and responds to departmental matters involving the section chief and faculty.

Salary: $29,702.40

Responsibilities:
  • Provides administrative and office support to the division director and faculty.
  • Serves as the administrative assistant to the division director by maintaining the calendar, arrange meetings and schedule appointments with faculty/staff, leadership, etc.
  • Answer and route calls for the area.
  • Develops and maintains databases, spreadsheets, and correspondence, etc. based on information provided to be distributed to the appropriate individuals, i.e. monthly schedules, conferences, and weekend call schedules.
  • Responsible for distribution of departmental mail.
  • Attends campus meeting as requested by leadership.
  • Assist with distribution and collection of radiation of badges.
  • Serves as a liaison between UAMS, Arkansas Children's Hospital (ACH), & ACNW campuses for administrative support.
  • Organizes and coordinates events which may including creating timelines, collecting agenda items, and background materials.
  • Coordinating itineraries for recruitment and/or special events.
  • Coordinate patient conferences for physicians, coordinate divisional staff meetings and record minutes as designated.
  • Provide logistical support for events and training.
  • Provides assistance with the residents and medical students as they rotate through pediatric radiology.
  • Assist with fellowship duties as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma/GED plus three (3) years of administrative experience required
  • Experience providing administrative support experience in a physician's office/medical facility preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Must have Microsoft Office experience.
  • Must have phone etiquette skills.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills.
  • Must show initiative on projects.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with faculty, staff and visitors.
