The Pathology Service Line CORE Laboratory (Chemistry, Hematology, Coag, Reference, LSS, Flow, Immunology, Phlebotomy, Cell Saver) Administrative coordinator is responsible for a broad range of activities that are critical to the functioning of the Service Line and Laboratory. The objective of this position is to ensure support to the Department, Section Directors, and LPS Administrator. This support includes a wide array of activities to ensure day-to-day operations go smoothly and that information that enhances integration and communication is shared and exchanged.

Responsibilities:
  • The CORE Laboratory Administrative Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of support are present for the department sections of the Core Lab.
  • The Coordinator is responsible for timekeeping and payroll for the CORE laboratory services.
  • Maintains payroll information by collecting and entering employees’ time.
  • Register incoming consultations and specimens from outside facilities regarding incoming and outgoing consultations.
  • This position is responsible for tracking, maintaining, and submitting the monthly on-call AP/CP schedules for faculty and staff (up to 300 employees), weekend and lab administrative schedules, distributing the schedule to both UAMS, CAVHS, and ACH staff and inputting into the UAMS On Call System.
  • The Coordinator provides project management support to the CORE.
  • These projects include inspection readiness responsibilities for CAP, FDA and Joint Commission.
Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree PLUS two (2) years of experience in administrative support -OR- Associates Degree PLUS four (4) years of experience in administrative support -OR- High School Diploma/GED PLUS six (6) years of experience in administrative support
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree plus, 5 years Administrative Experience in Laboratory Administrative Services
