If you are an Adminstrative Assistant looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Sidney, Ohio location, you will professionally assist VP, Engineering and their direct reports as a strategic and trusted business partner. You will be required to efficiently multitask and prioritize various administrative tasks and projects with accuracy and adherence to deadlines.

AS A EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, YOU WILL:

  • Manages complex calendars, arranges meetings and maintains and adjusts schedules as needed
  • Act as point of contact between executives, internal/externals clients and all levels of the organization
  • Answers and routes phone calls, mail and e-mail messages and handles a wide-range of information dissemination
  • Schedule meetings, appointments and conference rooms for quarterly division communication meeting, staff meetings, customer visits, lab tours and other events as needed
  • Enter capital purchases into Oracle
  • Ability to work with limited supervision, to high standards and within demanding deadlines
  • Maintains office supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; evaluating new office products; placing and expediting orders for supplies; and verifying receipt of supplies for office and lab
  • Manage and audit department expenses via multiple company credit cards
  • Provide basic IT and office equipment support
  • Coordinate and arrange domestic and international travel, create accurate travel itineraries
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by establishing personal networks, reviewing professional publications and attending educational workshops
  • Maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information
  • Organize and maintain customer agreements and contracts
  • Assist with International Engineering Shipments
  • Collaborate and back-up other department assistants to provide professional office support

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Minimum of Associate's degree plus 3 years of experience as an Executive Assistant and/or project manager or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong MS Office, Office 365, Oracle, Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, SharePoint experience.
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills.
  • Ability to treat confidential information with appropriate discretion.
  • Solid teamwork skills – works well with a diverse team.
  • Ability to work independently; be self-aware, self-monitoring, and self-correcting; take initiative.
  • Time management and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship for this role will not be provided.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Budget/office management experience
  • Prefer experience with administrative support for President or Functional VP level
  • Ten 10 or more years of administrative support experience
  • Exposure to Oracle syste
