Job Description
Responsibilities: IOMAXIS is seeking a Junior Accounts Receivables Specialist to perform a variety of accounting and bookkeeping duties according to established policies and procedures. Maintains contact with, staff, vendors and clients and observes confidentiality of client and company matters.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Utilizing computerized accounting software programs (Jamis Prime, Excel, Word) to perform duties and responsibilities.
  • Generating accounting statements and reports.
  • Preparing Invoices in accordance with customer requirements
  • Researching cash receipts, coding and posting of receipts.
  • Preparing bank deposit.
  • Overseeing accounts receivable write-offs and payment reversals.
  • Developing automated spreadsheets.
  • Operating office equipment including personal computer, copiers, fax machines and 10-key calculator.
  • Organizing and maintaining up to date financial records.
  • Providing monthly financial and management reports.
  • Maintaining telephone and personal contact with, staff and vendors on receivable matters as directed by manager.
  • Reading and using computer systems manuals and procedures, maintaining and updating procedural manuals as needed.
  • Assisting in financial management and analysis, as requested.
  • Organizing and maintaining files for required period of time.
Qualifications:Education
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, college level accounting classes or Accounting Degree preferred.
Clearance
  • Eligible for Secret Clearance
Required Skills / Capabilities
  • Basic computer skills and word processing
  • Accounts Receivable experience required
  • Good mathematical background
  • Some experience with spreadsheets and automated accounting systems
  • Ability to sort, check, count, and verify numbers
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently
  • Ability to listen, communicate (written and verbal), excellent grammar, spelling and proofreading skills and follow-up effectively with all staffing levels and clients/customers
  • Ability to work independently, self-starter, energetic
  • Ability to demonstrate good common sense and sound judgment
  • Flexibility to adapt to all situations and work varied hours; possibly work weekends or evenings
  • Ability to use 10-key calculator for a variety of accounting functions
  • Ability to perform at high levels in a fast paced ever-changing work environment
  • Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction
Desired Qualifications
  • 4-6 years hands-on Accounting experience, Federal Contracting experience preferred.
