Accounts Payable Technician

The J.R. Simplot Company is a diverse, privately held organization, with roots firmly planted in agriculture and agriculture-related businesses. The J.R. Simplot Company is a true farm-to-table company with operations that touch every aspect of agriculture, including seed production, farming and ranching, plant sciences, fertilizer manufacturing, food processing, commercial product development, and distribution.

Under general supervision, process invoices and provide support to J.R. Simplot Business Units. Working in a supportive team environment that values efficiency and attention to detail.

The Accounts Payable Technician position involves multiple dimensions and responsibilities including:

• Invoice Identification
• Routing invoices to the correct Simplot Approver & Location
• Researching Invoice and Vendor history and payment methods
• Matching and processing purchase orders to the correct receipts for payment
• Manual Check, ACH, and Wire payment runs

Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university preferred

3+ years related experience and/or training

• Six plus months related experience and/or training
• Possess a thorough understanding of assigned accounting related functions (i.e. A/P, A/R)
• Able to operate general business machines such as computer, calculator, fax and similar office equipment efficiently and accurately
• Perform routine mathematical calculations
• Able to accurately complete a high volume of work within specified time frames
• Must be punctual and have regular attendance
