Account Specialist/Customer Service Representative

Ortega Counseling Center seeks a full time Account Specialist/Customer Service Representative for our Whittier office. We have over 20 years combined experience of commitment to injured workers, presenting them with the finest vocational counseling for both Spanish and English speaking clients. OCC focuses on retraining individuals who have a work related injury. Vocational counseling is an integral part of the injured worker’s path to a successful new career and a better future. The Account Specialist/Customer Service Representative is an important member of the team, with the following duties:

Responsible for developing new business opportunities to meet trends, help develop and implement strategic marketing plans, and facilitate client requirements meetings – both in person and/or remotely.

Reporting to the Office Manager and Owner, this position's primary responsibility is to assist with the many facets of the marketing effort including supporting company goals and developing and extending various marketing programs.

As part of the marketing/customer service team your primary duties will include:

  • Develop new business opportunities to meet trends by visiting case managers, worker compensation community, attorney offices, and medical offices
  • Schedule Lunch-n-Learns to establish new accounts, maintain existing accounts to generate referrals
  • Provide excellent follow up customer service while ensuring accounts are informed and educated on the new process and procedures required
  • Report daily and weekly marketing forecasts, submit weekly expense and mileage reimbursement reports, and participate in weekly marketing conference calls
  • Evaluate accounts regularly and follow up via email and phone, regularly providing treats to staff at designated locations
  • Manage projects to make sure that they get completed in a timely manner
  • Maintain active participation and membership in networking organizations, attending events as needed to remain knowledgeable (e.g. CAAA Chapter meetings, seminars and Conferences)
  • Travel throughout Southern and Northern California to attend conferences, seminars, events, and trainings requiring 1-2 nights’ stay (once a year), including booking travel arrangements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience working in sales or marketing team environment
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Computer skills with experience in Microsoft
  • Bachelors Degree and three years experience in sales, marketing, and/or business development preferred.
  • Must be con?dent and comfortable with speaking in public.
