Job Description
About the role:As an Account Representative for TQL’s Intermodal/Rail department, you will be responsible for working with an established Sales Team to identify new business opportunities in order to drive intermodal revenue. You will start your career in an accelerated training program to learn the industry and all aspects specific to intermodal and rail. Once training is complete, you will become the dedicated Intermodal Account Representative and subject-matter-expert for your team. What’s in it for you:

What you’ll be doing:
  • Communicate with the sales team and customers to build and maintain ongoing relationships
  • Manage daily shipment activities, resolving issues to ensure pickup and delivery is on time
  • Work with the sales team to provide and negotiate competitive pricing and rates
  • Input, update, and manage shipment information in our state-of-the-art systems
  • Collaborate with the support team to guarantee each shipment is serviced properly
  • Assist with billing and accounting responsibilities as needed
What you need:
  • College degree preferred, but we have successful account representatives without one
  • 2+ years of sales or account management experience (internships and co-ops qualify)
  • The determination to work harder than anyone you know
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills, while being forthright about conflict
  • Ability to work with the latest technologies
  • An obsession for great customer service
