Job Summary Works with University departments and outside clients to develop a wide array of marketing strategies. Coordinates the production, delivery and distribution of ongoing promotional materials. Occasionally conceptualizes and helps to develop advertising copy to support marketing strategies and creative platforms.

Responsibilities 1. Consults with clients to determine promotional needs and develops marketing strategies and/or individual projects to meet those needs.
2. Collaborates with graphic designers to create the concept for each project and assists in writing advertising copy to support each concept.
3. Oversees production of video media, including writing copy for video and other marketing projects. Helps to select talent and directs production.
4. Acts as account executive to ensure client satisfaction and timely product delivery.
5. Tracks effectiveness of each marketing/promotional campaign through data analysis and works to improve future campaigns.
6. Schedules and directs video and photography shoots. Helps select model(s) and props.
7. Researches appropriate venues for advertising and public relations materials.
8. Develops and fosters positive relationships with campus departments.
9. Proofreads and edits various materials as needed.
10. May plan and assist with distribution of advertising materials.
Work Environment and Level of Frequency typically required Nearly Continuously: Office environment, or working remotely. Seldom: Outdoor Environment Physical Requirements and Level of Frequency that may be required Nearly Continuously: Sitting, hearing, listening, talking. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, English or related field, plus three years professional experience in marketing, advertising, copywriting, directing publication projects or equivalency. Demonstrated ability to develop effective print and broadcast media campaigns. Must possess excellent grammar, proofreading, human relation and effective communication skills.

Familiarity with broadcast production, studio photography direction, postal regulations and costing-out jobs is preferred.
Preferences Familiarity with graphic design and layout, video production, photography direction, and costing-out jobs is preferred.
