Job Description

Our array of global services include health plan risk management, employee benefits, Medicare and long-term care planning, disability, life and health, as well as other insurance, investment and wealth management services.

We are excited to add to our team an Entry Level Account Coordinator. The Account Coordinator (AC) is a diversified position within the company and requires the development of a variety of different skills. The primary responsibility of the AC is to support the Producers and Account Managers. The AC reports directly to the Manager of Client Services.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Process all Broker of Record changes
  • Receives, disseminates and distributes all client information (example: delinquent reports) in a timely and accurate manor to Account Manager and Producers
  • Ensures that client information located in the F:\Benefits Dept drive is current and received by the appropriate party and is archived in the proper fashion
  • Processes all new hire applications, subscriber changes, terminations and Cobra enrollments
  • Follows up with the Carrier to ensure that the client has received all necessary documentation (i.e. id cards, updated premium statements)
  • Follows up with the Carrier to ensure that all employee applications, changes, terminations and cobra enrollments have been received and processed
  • Accurately enters new client information into The LBL Group database
  • Accurately enters employee information into The LBL Group database
  • Assist in the preparation of enrollment materials
  • Conducts billing audit after open enrollment changes have been processed


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.


Education and/or Experience:

  • High School diploma or recognized equivalent is required
  • Minimum of 2 years’ related industry experience and/or training, required
  • Thorough knowledge of MS applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)


Other Qualifications:

  • Ability to thoroughly communicate and build relationships with clients and carriers
  • Capable of working on multiple tasks simultaneously, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines despite frequent interruptions (i.e. phone calls)
  • Ability to work in a team environment with the ability to make independent decisions
  • Ability to think creatively and negotiate resolution

· Expert use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Excellent oral, presentation and written communication skills and the command of the English language
  • Must have a professional corporate appearance and manner
