Responsibilities & Qualifications: Our Warehouse Training Coordinator manages and maintains overall DC staffing plans.
Essential Functions:
  • Interviews entry level employees and ensures compliance with all regulatory and company requirements.
  • Monitors effectiveness of training by auditing employee knowledge, observing employee behavior and tracking performance results.
  • Assists the Warehouse Leadership Team in developing and implementing strategies to mitigate employee turnover.
  • Creates or revises training programs to address performance gaps.
  • Assists Talent Acquisition and Human Resources in sourcing strategies and recruiting efforts.
  • Identifies skill sets critical for success in warehouse roles and works with Talent Acquisition to attract the applicable skill sets for needed roles.
  • Tracks and monitors turnover and adjusts hiring targets to maintain the appropriate warehouse staffing levels.
  • Conducts monthly employee opinion surveys to identify opportunities to improve employee retention.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of one year of management experience or training
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills and good organizational and problem solving skills
  • Must have the ability to multi-task, prioritize and be able to work independently or within a team environment
  • Must have good leadership skills and a thorough understanding of warehouse operations
  • Must have a basic understanding of DOT, OSHA, EEOC and other related regulatory agencies and laws
  • Employees in all warehouse positions must be able to immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells, alarms, and horns that are used to warn employees of the start-up, movement, or approach of equipment (including forklifts, turrets, overhead cranes, conveyors, trucks, and other equipment operated inside or outside the warehouse), mechanical abnormalities, and similar risk situations during warehouse operations
  • Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Refers to policies and practices for guidance
