1st Shift Parts Washer - CAT Supplemental - Sumter, SC Pins Facility

Job description :

Set-up and operate a light to medium duty press to perform pressing operations. Interpret blueprints for assembly operations. Read gauges and ensure product quality. Completes manual operation only. Escalate any issues that interrupt production to your Team Lead.

FPI Washer General Responsibilities:

Operates degreasing equipment to remove foreign matter from the surface of metal parts.

Specific duties :

• Cleans metal parts of all foreign materials and prepares for welding

• Loads and unloads parts baskets utilizing hoist

• Moves loaded baskets / tub in and out of wash area to point of use utilizing fork truck or powered pallet jack

• Maintains cleaning system including concentration & fluid levels daily

• Removes sludge and cleans sludge pit when required

• Coordinates component flow with other departments

• Maintain accurate parts counts utilizing routing & count cards

Basic Qualifications :

*Computer skills (basic skills/abilities using a computer - able to function independently while using a computer)

*This is a full-time Caterpillar temporary/supplemental hourly position on 1st shift with a limited benefit package in Sumter, SC (Sumter Pins Facility).

• Pay rate: $16.12/hour

*No relocation benefits are available.

*Successful candidate must be able to work overtime when required including weekends.
