Collaborative Solutions is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to support with US payroll processing and assist with international payrolls as needed, general ledger monthly closing, and periodic reporting. This position will assist with semi-monthly/monthly payroll processing, closing, employment verifications, unemployment claims, and garnishments. The Payroll Coordinator should bring to the position experience working in a corporate payroll function and excellent organizational skills with an eye for detail.

The Payroll Coordinator assists with the payroll record keeping of Collaborative Solutions’ US payroll and foreign subsidiaries as needed and will assist with aspects of payroll accounting to ensure that all financial requirements of the Company are being met. Duties include recording of payroll journals and ad hoc bank transactions, assisting with account reconciliations, analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with processing semi-monthly/monthly payrolls accurately and on time in compliance with all federal, state, and local guidelines in Workday/CloudPay, as needed.

  • Process journal entries in the company’s ERP, Workday, to recognize payroll liabilities on an accrual basis.

  • Assist with reconciling general ledger payroll account balances.

  • Accurately prepare and set up payroll reports and wage garnishments.

  • Ensure employee deductions are accurately withheld and remitted.

  • Assist with research and resolution of payroll issues.

  • Assist with audit requests.

  • Provide support to People Services for HR initiatives including benefits administration, compliance, and special projects.

  • Other payroll projects, with emphasis on process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent required.

  • Demonstrated 1-2 years of related experience in a similar payroll position.

  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office applications.

  • Highest standard of organization, accuracy and precision in a time sensitive manner.

  • Must have excellent analytical, detailed and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work well in a team environment.

  • Must be flexible, able to multi-task and work to deadlines.

  • Excellent communication skills with strong written and verbal skills.
