Classification: Hourly, Full-time, 1st and 2nd Shift

Position Summary

The packer is responsible for inspecting and packing product following standard procedures. Packers also assist machine operators needed to stage material, monitor processes, move and fill ink/glue, recycle trim, clean the work area and conduct other duties as needed.

Job Duties:

• Pack product in the appropriate case following job specifications and procedures
• Work safely and efficiently with attention to detail
• Check product quality to verify and adhere to finished product specifications
• Visually inspect finished and in process materials for defects
• Ensure product specifications match job tickets
• Verify that case boxes or other needed materials are available and staged properly
• Communicate regularly with press operator for directions on adjustments and/or changes
• Engage in the process to keep ahead of needs and changes
• Comply with all policies, safety procedures and processes
• Move cases/pallets from one location to another as needed for staging, production, shipping and storage
• Complete and assist operator with daily cleaning needs for the machine area
• Support maintenance and cleaning program for the facility

Qualifications:

• Must be able to accurately use measuring tools including us and metric
• Work independently, actively address issues, stay on task and operate thoughtfully
• Use various tools such as tape machines, pallet jacks, tape guns, etc.
• Work and stand for 8 hour shifts as the schedule demands
• Repeatedly lift 20 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $13.50 per hour
