We are currently focused on products for bladder leaks. 1 in 3 women experience bladder leaks but only 1 in 10 use products for the issue due to the shame and embarrassment. Role Objective

Your primary objective is to accurately and efficiently fulfill customer orders to ensure that our customers promptly receive exactly what they ordered. At Lily Bird we strive to delight our customers in every single interaction and the shipments you pack are an important component of that mission.

Role Summary

You will be one of three employees at our Louisville location. As such, you will need to be good at getting things done on your own schedule and enjoy working independently. There is an opportunity for you to have a lot of responsibility and to make our customers happy. You will become an expert on our team about our shipping operations. You will be a voice for our customers for how we can improve our shipping processes to serve our customers better.

At first we will have approximately 10-15 hours of work per week for you but this will increase over time as we grow. Some of your hours will need to occur on Mondays but overall when you work will be very flexible. We will occasionally need you to cover shifts for your colleagues on Tuesdays, Wednesday, Thursdays, Fridays, or Saturday afternoons/evenings.

On Mondays and the days you cover shifts for other colleagues you may need to drop off packages at the nearby UPS and USPS facilities before 8pm. We will reimburse you for this mileage.

A Sample Of What You’ll Be Doing

Order fulfillment

  • Pack common shipments. This includes assembling shipping boxes, inserting products and marketing materials into boxes, and labeling boxes.
  • Fulfill customer orders using Shopify (software).
  • Use judgement to select the appropriate shipping carrier within guidelines provided
  • Pack up all new orders by the cutoff time each day
  • Drop off all packages at the carrier location to ensure the shipments go out that day
  • Flag issues with incorrect addresses and returned shipments for customer support
  • Hold off on packing orders with customer support issues based on communication from team in Reno

Warehouse management

  • Keep warehouse space organized and clean
  • Receive shipments of Lily Bird products products and other supplies such as boxes and flyers
  • Take inventory of items as needed (at least monthly)

Create scalable systems with the customer in mind

  • Identify gaps in how we are doing things and share those with the team
  • Suggest ideas for how to improve our policies, processes, and software tool set up to make your job easier and to better serve our customers

  • Have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a clean driving record
  • Have a car (ideally midsize to large) you can use to drop off shipments at nearby UPS and USPS facilities
  • Can complete necessary work according to the schedule mentioned above
  • Can occasionally cover Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday afternoons/evenings as well as Saturday afternoons
