About the VP of Engineering Start-Up Position:

As the VP of Engineering you will be responsible for leading discovery with our clients, managing a small team of engineers and doing hand-on coding as needed.

You should have prior organizational leadership experience, be able to collaborate with team members, and be a strategic problem-solver. You should enjoy working with external clients to solve their problems and guiding the team to a solution.

About the VP of Engineer Start-Up Responsibilities:

• Manage a small team of Engineers
• Will do some hands-on coding
• Lead the team through management and mentorship
• Contribute to Software Development
• Develop standards and procedures to ensure that quality standards are met
• Recommend technological developments and improvements for inefficiencies
• Collaborate with team members and external clients by being a strategic problem-solver

About the VP of Engineer Start-Up Requirements:

• 10+ years hands-on Software Engineering using some of the following: js, React, Django, Python, JavaScript, Java R, SAS and/or Angular
• 3+ years guiding and mentoring more Junior developers
• Experience with Microservices and Cloud architecture is required
• Previous client-facing consulting experience is necessary
