The Vice President & Chief Development Officer (CDO) is responsible to plan and implement a development and fundraising program to provide for the short- and long-term needs of the organization. In addition, the position will be responsible for writing, reporting, and monitoring expenditures and compliance for NHS’s government, foundation, community, and corporate grants. The CDO will oversee contract grants and communications (both internal and external) related to those grants as well as NHS and its effects. The CDO will lead a collaborative effort charged with the management of day-to-day fundraising and communications and providing a dynamic integrated program. The ideal candidate works collaboratively and maintains clear and regular communications with the senior operations team, community partners, and donors. The Chief Development Officer will also oversee the Development Office, which has functional responsibility for Marketing and Communications; Strategic Partnerships; Grants Writing and Management and Investments.
