Are you a technical writer passionate about making complicated product and engineering design concepts easy to read and meaningful for developers? We’re looking for an experienced technical writer who can hit the ground running and create content that enables third-party developers to easily integrate Amazon Appstore services into their products. As part of the documentation team, you’ll work with APIs, SDKs, CLIs, and other developer technologies, such as cloud gaming, Fire TV, and more. You’ll need to understand the audience of developers who are creating apps and games for the Amazon Appstore, and write content that addresses their challenges and needs. You’ll explain code samples, run test apps, explain how to integrate SDKs, document how to submit an app on the Amazon Appstore, and more.
You’ll use markdown format in a docs-as-code environment to write content, Git for source control, and the Jekyll static site generator and engineering pipelines to build and publish the docs. You’ll use collaborative systems to edit and review documentation. You will interact daily with product teams, engineering, and solutions architect teams.
You will exhibit strong project management skills, the ability to work independently, and a history of successfully partnering with cross-functional teams.
