Technical Trainer (mid-level) Details

Peraton is looking to fill a critical role for a mid-level Technical Training Specialist. In this role the trainer provides structured classroom training on Consular applications on-site at the National Foreign Affairs Training Center for designated customer and staff members. Join the team and do "The Can't Be Done".
Work with the Program Leadership Team, Senior Trainers, and the Government Client to coordinate, schedule and assist in the training of DOS Consular systems (this will involve direct customer interaction).
Work independently and within small teams to support various software and systems related tasks
Complete and submit all reporting requirements in a timely manner.
Conduct classroom training on Consular applications to client end user.
Develop, organize and deliver technical training and related materials in support of customer needs.
Work directly with customer and functional organizations to establish training content and objectives.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and 5 years related work experience OR HS diploma and 13 years related work experience (or any equivalent combination) Experience in delivering software applications or other technical training to end users in both classroom and one-on-one settings or equivalent. Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communications skills, including excellent customer service and self-motivation skills Experience with developing and or maintaining training documentation (lesson plans, procedures, reports, etc.) Experience with Microsoft operating systems (Windows 10) and MS-office suite
Desired Qualifications: Department of State experience, Specifically Consular Affairs CTT+, Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) and/or Microsoft Certified Learning Consultant (MCLC) certifications, A+ and/or their equivalents. Experience with leading small task oriented teams for projects or customer site training visits
