Salesforce Professional Services is looking for a Technical Architect. If you're passionate about innovation, come help revolutionize how companies collaborate and communicate with customers. The Technical Architect will be responsible for successfully creating custom enterprise applications using the Salesforce platform and integrating with other enterprise systems. In this capacity, the Technical Architect will be an expert in implementing large scale enterprise applications, utilising web-based technologies and applying enterprise system integration and security architectures.

Ideally, the candidate has a CRM implementation background, Salesforce.com experience and is Salesforce certified. However, candidates with a solid technical architecture and development background in Java, .Net and integration will also be considered. The candidate must be able to lead technical requirement gathering sessions, produce requirements and technical architecture documents, manage a team of development resources and be hands-on implementing where required. The candidate must also be able to manage client expectations and scope by working closely with the project manager and other architect(s).

Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical requirement gathering sessions and produce technical requirements and design documents.

  • Manage the technical delivery of integrations, security, single-sign-on and application customizations.

  • Manage technical scope and client expectations.

  • Provide hands-on advisory assistance to developers for technical issues.

  • Design and implement the development and release process.

  • Design and manage the execution of test plans and ensuring a quality solution is delivered.

Experience/Skills Required:

  • 8+ years of experience implementing and integrating enterprise systems, preferably CRM or ERP with increasing complexity and responsibility.

  • Strong consulting experience.

  • Ability to deliver integration projects using established integration technologies and EAI tools.

  • Proven ability to design and optimize business processes and to integrate business processes across disparate systems.

  • Experience with web and/or cloud application development with the Salesforce platform, Heroku, SpringSource, Amazon RDS, Azure, J2EE or .Net.

  • Experience designing technical solutions across Salesforce clouds or technology stacks, i.e., Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and AWS.

  • A thorough understanding of XML, SQL, and Object-Oriented Design Patterns.

  • Travel up to 30%, but may be higher as required by client engagements.

Experience/Skills Desired:

  • Ability to define and deliver custom enterprise applications on the Salesforce platform.

  • Hands-on development experience with JavaScript, Apex, Visualforce and the Salesforce.com APIs.

  • Ability to triage and assist customers with system performance issues.

  • Work experience with a professional consulting organization (e.g., Big 5 consulting) a plus.

  • Completion of several Salesforce.com projects in development and lead technical roles.

  • Extensive experience with data extraction, transformation and load tools.

  • Expertise in Single Sign-On (SSO), Master Data Management (MDM), Social Enterprise Technologies and Data Warehousing.

  • Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, MIS or equivalent.
