Overview: POSITION SUMMARY:
The Surgery Support Specialist provides care for surgical patients and family, interacting and communicating effectively. They are responsible for the transportation of patients, along with the supply management and environmental care functions in the department. This includes departmental cleaning and preparing the surgery room with equipment and supplies; in addition interacts and communicates with surgical patients and their families.

Qualifications:REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED
• 6 months in a customer service role or working in a team environment Other Experience working with computers, phones, and interpersonal skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Patient Care experience in health care environment
• American Heart Association CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Completion of medical terminology class
