Position Summary

Position Description:

Student Services Front Desk Receptionist

Answer multi-line telephones, route calls, take messages, and provide general information; answer routine inquires; greet and direct students and visitors.

Maintain advisement appointments. Open and route incoming mail; distribute correspondence and other material to department staff. Perform a variety of typing assignments, enter data, and operate a personal computer using Microsoft Word to draft correspondence. Print letters, labels, reports, and/or other material. Type and mail form letters. Copy and duplicate material as requested; prepare and transmit facsimile for the department.

Establish, maintain, process, and/or update files, records, and/or other documents. Reorganize existing filing systems as needed. Schedule or assist in scheduling appointments, meetings and /or conferences.
