We are seeking part-time Student Assistants who will assist students with writing assignments in curriculum courses at SCC, Spring 2022.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

• Writing tutors should be able to assist any student writing assignments.
• Assisting students with study skills, technology and time management
• Must be able to work independently and as a team member
• Commitment to work schedule is crucial.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a current student enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours.
• Prospective tutor must have taken ENG102 at SCC and received a grade of "B" or better.
• Must have a referral form completed by a SCC highest-level ENG faculty member or LIT class.
• Must include a writing sample (1-2 essays) with application submission
• Must attend a mandatory orientation and training sessions.

Hours/Work Schedule: Part-time, not to exceed 19 hours per week.
