ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a senior appointment with a highly visible company in the remote work enablement and situational intelligence solution space. This position will be responsible for leading technical pre-sales engagements, inspire confidence and building credibility with customers, and taking a lead role in the broader Pre-Sales Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have experience with solution sales involving cloud-based solutions, software and enterprise infrastructure components, and on-premises PaaS solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support targeted Federal sales opportunities and perform product demonstrations
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert to internal and external resources
• Take on a leadership role as necessary to lead and drive projects
• Provide pre-sales support for new and existing customers, coordinating closely with assigned Federal Sales Managers
• Evangelize and demonstrate Bluescape to prospects, customers, and partners via presentations and product demos
• Provide technical response to RFP/RFI, bids, technical evaluations, and proposals
• Respond to technical objections and create competitive differentiation
• White-boarding and technical sessions
• Share customer and field engineering knowledge and feedback to internal resources

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

• U.S. Citizenship
• Reside in Washington, D.C Metro Area
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 5+ years of technology/SaaS sales engineering or equivalent experience
• Previous technical pre-sales experience into Federal government (Department of Defense experience highly desired)
• Excellent customer-facing skills including a demonstrated track-record of interfacing with Federal clients.
• Superb presentation, demonstration, and communication skills
• Understanding of Security Policy, Compliance and Audit
• Strong knowledge of Federal/Enterprise network infrastructure, security, and cloud-based architectures
• Experience preferred with:
• Cloud Computing: security reviews, encryption
• Infrastructure: Server OS, Storage, Virtualization, Containerization
• Networking: Firewalls, Routing, Hybrid solutions
• Video: Unicast and Multicast delivery
• Strong work ethic and a "get-the-job-done" attitude are necessary in our fast-paced, startup-like environment.
• Active DOD government clearance or eligible to obtain clearance preferred
• Travel of 25-50% within the US is required
