The Strategic Sourcing Department has an opening for a Sourcing Manager on the Corporate and Shared Services Strategic Sourcing Team. This position is located at the Boise, Idaho corporate office.

Who you are: The ideal candidate is self-starting strategic sourcing professional with extensive corporate services-related experience who can pick up and run with their assigned categories. You are a top performer who puts results first and follows a strategic sourcing process. We are looking for: Driven leaders who can demonstrate that they are change agents, consensus builders and strategists who have experience utilizing a best-in-class sourcing process, and whose calling and drive is to make an impact.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing or contributing to category sourcing strategies for assigned categories
  • Responsible for supporting and conducting strategic negotiation events for different categories across the organization
  • Strong analytical skills: able to transform data into clear and relevant information
  • Develop and deliver high quality presentations
  • Establish relationships and lead Stakeholders / cross-functional teams to get process buy-in
  • Develop and lead price, and terms-and-conditions negotiations with suppliers
  • Lead structured and in-depth strategic sourcing events from project kick-off to contract execution
  • Use and evaluate eSourcing tools and new technologies
  • Participate in spend analytics and work planning efforts
  • Create Strategic Sourcing partnerships in order to increase addressable spend
  • Become a category expert in understanding the category role and develop category playbooks and roadmaps to enhance strategic negotiations
  • Develop negotiation event timeline and manage execution
  • Experience with analytically challenging projects including a thorough understanding of budgeting and financial management
  • Handle small to multi-million dollar projects
  • Supervise and mentor entry level buyers and analysts on building the financial model utilized to support negotiation events

Qualifications:

  • 4-year college degree, graduate degree preferred.
  • 4+ years' experience leading complex strategic sourcing projects with at least 2-3 years experience with any of the following service-focused categories:
  • HR benefits and services
  • consulting services
  • legal services
  • store services (audits, remodels, merchandising resets)
  • pharmacy services
  • facility-related services (small parcel, physical security, furniture, mailroom, etc)
  • travel and insurance
  • Experience in developing and managing strategic supplier relationships
  • Strong experience with contract negotiations and managing strategic supplier alliances
  • Experience partnering with legal and negotiating and writing commercial terms and conditions
  • Strong business writing, analytical, influencing, and oral communications skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management skillset
  • Prior management consulting experience
  • Degree or minor in quantitative field such as economics, math, statistics, managerial accounting, business management, etc. is preferred
