Primary Responsibilities

The primary duties of this position require a highly energetic, detail-oriented individual who will assist HDR project managers with overseeing the financial stewardship of large programs or contracts. Strong understanding of financial controls and reporting is critical. In this position we’ll rely on you to:

  • Assist with programmatic/project level financial reporting
  • Development of executive level progress reports on a regular basis
  • Coordination with a variety of disciplines to compile program/project information
  • Develop and monitor program/project metrics
  • Monitor, analyze, forecast and report on cost expenditures, trends, etc.
  • Proactively identify measures to be further analyzed and enacted to bring better efficiency to programs/projects
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 10 or more years of related professional experience
  • Demonstrated success developing and providing financial reporting at an executive level
  • Knowledge of transportation and VDOT business practices preferred
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple long- and short-term tasks simultaneously
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Motivated self-starter and ability to think creatively
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
