Microsoft’s cloud platform, Azure, is growing at a phenomenal pace. Securing a system at this massive scale means we are constantly challenged to come up with new and creative approaches. It is truly an exciting time to be in cloud security. The Azure security team builds the security features and services that we use to secure the massive Azure platform. We offer some of these features and services to our customers to secure their cloud apps. A few examples are Azure Disk Encryption, Azure Managed HSM, Azure Dedicated HSM, Azure Key Vault, Azure Security Center, and driving encryption efforts across Azure services.
The Azure security team is looking for a highly motivated product manager who will plan, execute and deliver updates to bolster our encryption strategy and key management service to further strengthen Azure’s position as the most trusted cloud provider and help meet customer requirements to protect data in the cloud.
This role will also require engagement and socialization of Confidential Computing features of Azure with end customers.
You will play a critical role identifying the right investment opportunities for the team collaborate with several partner organizations to deliver end-to-end solutions for our customers. The ability to set well-defined KPIs to focus the team, prioritize the volume of incoming requests and clearly communicate our plan with partners and customers is vital to the team’s success.Responsibilities

• Engage potential customers inside and outside Microsoft, and deeply understand their encryption and key management needs.
• Develop feature and product specifications including technical details, use cases, success metrics and delivery plans with engineers.
• Drive implementation in close partnership with engineering teams, including prioritization
• Gain trust and influence broad stakeholders including engineering teams, partner orgs and peers
• Drive features into deployment to enable E2E use cases
• Be accountable for the prioritized roadmap by leveraging your team to work with internal and external customers to understand requirements, gaps, opportunities aligned with team and company vision
• Represent the product roadmap and status to executives at Microsoft and with customers.
• Manage risks and implement mitigation strategies
• Report progress in objective and concise formats to senior management, while providing recommendations to accelerate progress.
• Creatively resolve blocking issues, and also innovate to resolve customer pain points.
• Deliver technical and high-level presentations to internal and external audiences
• Define and drive the metrics for success related to the overall program, and ensure we course correct as needed to improve our service

QualificationsRequired Qualifications:

• 5+ years of software program or product management experience
• 2+ years of driving large scale programs across an organization
• Experience with Asymmetric, Symmetric keys or Hardware Security Modules
• Familiarity with industry Cryptographic Standards such as FIPS or PCI
• BS Degree in Computer Science, Electrical & Computer Engineering or Mathematics or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years driving large, complex programs and solutions using both direct and/or virtual teams
• Excellent design skills and proven ability to build successful partnerships and drive complex cross-group collaboration
• Experience with manipulating large data sets across multiple data sources, passion for exploring data and extracting valuable insights
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, experience with presentations to senior leadership teams as well as customers
• Passion for making decisions and driving innovative solutions based on data
• Solid experience shipping software products, including at least one cloud service, creating/running a service at scale, and at least one stint taking a product from inception to release to broad adoption
• Experience influencing and delivering a project across multiple teams and across companies
• Ability to apply creativity, critical thinking and solution focused in a dynamic working environment
