As we build our in-house creative team, we are looking for a hands-on, social-savvy senior art director with considerable design chops to help us tell Byte’s story and build buzz around the brand. We’re looking for someone who is as comfortable designing graphics for social content as they are concepting a mood board for a photo shoot. You’ll collaborate with your copywriter partner across paid and organic social content, brand campaigns, identity design, packaging and beyond. Byte is a digital first brand, so you will also gain experience working with digital and e-commerce and have an understanding of agile & iterative content needs. Reporting into the Creative Director, you will take projects from concept through execution, mentor junior team members, and help us establish Byte’s place in pop culture. This is a hands-on position in a fast paced environment with a small, but rapidly expanding team. It’s perfect for a proactive self-starter looking to help build something great from the ground up. A portfolio of relevant work is required to be considered.

What You Will Do:

• Collaborate with the creative team and marketing leadership to evolve Byte’s visual brand and determine how it can live across multiple platforms/media.
• Generate breakthrough ideas and constantly strive for new and exciting solutions.
• Photo, video & content conception.
• Art direction and design execution across photography, video, social media, on-site/app, collateral, email, digital, experiential and all other creative assets.
• Be on the pulse of lifestyle, beauty and pop-culture trends, bringing relevant creative ideas that help create buzz & relevancy around the brand.
• Have a POV on production trends, especially across social media and digital.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment

• 5+ years of experience as an art director or designer at an advertising agency, digital agency, studio or in-house.
• Expansive photo and video production experience with a keen understanding of how to select photographers and successfully navigate an on-set environment.
• Proactive self-starter comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment.
• A portfolio that shows strong strategic and conceptual thinking across a range of deliverables, preferably with a focus on social media.
• A love for good design and typography.
• Ability to create compelling presentations and sell work to stakeholders.
• Broad awareness of trends in culture, beauty and lifestyle.
• Experience with video and photo production and partnering with directors, photographers, editors, motion designers and illustrators.
