Urgent Care Staff Nurse?Full?time

Kansas City Orthopaedic Institute has an opening for a full?time Staff nurse in our Urgent Care
Department. This position will include 3 12?hour shifts per week including rotating weekends.

Primary role is to provide professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices. This includes assisting physicians and staff in coordinating patient care and functioning as a primary liaison between patients, staff and physicians. They will be responsible for patient and family education, keeping the unit clean and stocked, and electronic charting in the patients’ medical record. Collaborate with the physicians to ensure patient care is at its highest level.

Duties: (including but not limited to) Triage care of the Orthopaedic patient. Registration when necessary. Casting, splinting, suturing etc. Majority of duties will include assisting the physician with patient procedures and education of the patient to be cared for at home and the need for follow up treatment.

Requirements: ACLS preferred, 1 year ER or urgent care experience and Orthopaedic care experience preferred. Graduated from an accredited nursing program. Licensed RN in KS.
