Overview:

Fairview Health Services is looking for a RN in our Labor and Delivery/Post-Partum/Labor and Delivery OR units at Fairview Ridges Hospital located in Burnsville, just 20 minutes south of Minneapolis, MN near the 35E and 35 W conjunctions. The hospital has been providing state-of-the art care and community services to the residents of the scenic Minnesota Valley since 1984. This is an 8 hour night position, every other weekend. Benefit eligible.

Fairview Ridges Birthplace (located in Burnsville, MN) is a 30 bed postpartum and 9 bed labor and delivery unit with a 3 bed maternal assessment center and over 2400 deliveries per year. Responsibilities/Job Description:

• The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate. An additional responsibility will be to work in the scrub person during Labor and Delivery operative procedures.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

• Current MN RN licensure
• BLS for Health Care Providers
• 6 months of acute care experience (hospital)

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN
