GBH is seeking a dynamic and talented Registered Nurse (RN). The Registered Nurse functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction and role modeling to patients. The Registered Nurse provides proficient, age specific, direct and indirect patient care in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing care for assigned patients in accordance with legal, hospital practice and departmental policies, procedures, established standards of nursing care and practice, as defined by the state of Texas. The RN communicates with physicians about changes in patient’s clinical condition including mental status, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. He/she is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
This position qualifies for a $10,000 sign on bonus (with committment).QualificationsEducation: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required; Bachelor's preferred.
Experience: Preferred two (2) years’ experience in an inpatient psychiatric health-care facility.
Licensure: Current unrestricted Registered Nurse license to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing.
Additional Requirements: AHA BLS prior to working independently with patients. Completes Aggression Management/De-Escalation Certification (CPI) prior to working independently with patients.
