Description:

Odyssey House is seeking a part time LPN or RN for our residential programs.

Odyssey House's Mission is "Empowering people to heal and build better lives" and we are dedicated to helping individuals and families reclaim their lives through effective substance abuse treatment, prevention, and mental health services. This position is a full time, exempt position working closely with our substance use and mental health residential treatment facilities.

Compensation: $27.00 hourly

Job Description

  • Operate within the scope of licensure as appropriate for the Odyssey House programs
  • Quality Assurance of documented notes in Electronic Health Record System
  • Quality Assurance of narcotics in all programs
  • Assist with medication compliance for newly admitted clients
  • High-level home health and provider case management for medically complex clients
  • Assist in screening clients from partner agencies
  • Update client medication logs
  • Assist in implementing treatment plans and coordinating training with staff
  • Provide new hire medication administration training (all staff)
  • Provide new hire training to med office staff
  • Provide ongoing training of med office staff
  • Monthly medical office compliance with accreditation standards reviews
  • Other duties as assigned

Licensure / Education / Prior Experience Required:

  • LPN/RN Experience and License
  • Willingness and ability to pass a criminal background check
  • First Aid and CPR Certification (available at Odyssey House)
  • Must comply with annual TB, Flu and COVID19 immunizations
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen (for federally illegal substances) and be willing to undergo drug screenings as a condition of employment.
  • Must meet employment eligibility
  • Must be able to work variable shifts as needed

Physical Demands of the Job: Ability to lift up to 15 lbs, driving (or adequate alternate transportation), sitting for prolonged periods, light to moderate physical activity at times. Able to passively restrain residents without likely injury to self due to existing medical condition.
