  • Oversight for the development of software requirements, architecture and design, construction, and testing of software.
  • Using applicable tools, including in-house and commercially available programs, to create real-world scenarios for controlling building loads to reduce energy and emissions during periods of peak demand or reduced output from renewable resources.
  • Responsible for writing, testing, debugging/troubleshooting, and maintenance of specialized programs and applications.
  • Developing research proposals to major funding agencies.
  • Presenting and reporting research results and publishing scientific findings in peer-reviewed journals.

Basic Qualifications

You will have earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field. Research and development experience (including postdoctoral, other academic, research fellow, and/or industry) is preferred, especially in the fields of machine learning, simulation, and software development.

  • You must be fluent in Linux and Windows, and extensive programming skills in C, C++, Python, and Matlab experience with a demonstrated ability to use design patterns and software engineering best practices for scalable, reliable, rapid implementation.
  • Previous experience with simulation-based testing is required.
