The NAVSEA Project Manager for Navy Special Mission Ships Acquisition Support will directly manage and oversee DOD Acquisition efforts for Special Mission for the DOD/Navy program, industry or government business management in Washington, DC, or a fleet concentration area. The Project Manager shall perform and assist the management of technical studies, design review, problem resolution, and life-cycle monitoring work. He/she must also have documented experience and in-depth knowledge of shall have in-depth knowledge in GSA contract procurement procedures, requirements to be able to assist with the development of, associated procurement documentation. Additionally, the Project Manager will shall evaluate issues and provide recommendations related to ship/craft /boat, ship system, and information system cost, schedule, and performance. The Contractor shall have in-depth knowledge in commercial boat, service craft & seaborne target design and building practices, American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC) Standards, US Coast Guard regulations, American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) Rules, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) standards, and other industry standards to assist in the development of Strategic Plans, POA&Ms, POM & PR documents, mission needs, program studies/analyses, requirements definitions and analysis, and associated procurement documentation.

Required Skills

Excellent communication and program management skills.

10 years of experience with DoD acquisition processes, in DoD/Navy program management, Industry or Government technical management, or Industry or Government business management.

Must hold an Active SECRET security clearance

Required Experience

Expert knowledge of FAR/DFARS regulations, DoD 5000, DoD 5000.2, SECNAVINST 5000.2, and GSA acquisition guidelines.

5 years supervisory experience

5 years of experience in/with Special Mission Ships and their Life Cycles.

Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in related field
