This position takes an lead role to ensure established environmental, health, and safety standards and procedures are met and complied with. Uses in-depth knowledge to provide recommendations for complex environmental, health, and safety issues to managers and staff, including compliance with EHS legislation and the implementation of the EHS Management System. Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state EHS regulations and ensures necessary records are maintained and prepared according to established guidelines. Participates in regulatory inspections, providing inspectors with appropriate documents and records, and trains employees on regulations and company policies and procedures pertaining to EHS. Requires broad knowledge in EHS to support moderate to complex issues. This position supports three Collins Aerospace Business Units within a single site. Primary Responsibilities: Basic Qualifications: Strong written and verbal communication, computer, and analytical skills required. Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA, AIHA, EPA, and DOT regulations. Experience in the interpretation of local and WA state EH&S compliance standards. Demonstrated experience in the integration of EHS into the manufacturing process. Capable of working with a wide range of people from site leader to shop floor operators. Influencing and negotiating skills.
