Job Summary: Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, obtains blood and other specimens for laboratory testing according to physicians' orders. In doing so, obtains needed supplies, verifies patient identification, prepares skin site, and performs venipuncture and skin punctures according to established aseptic techniques. Labels specimens and transports to Laboratory for analysis.

Hours: Part-time (0.5 FTE) Weekday shifts are 4am-8am; Rotating Weekend shifts are 5am-1:30pm

Required:

  • Minimum three months of experience and/or clinical training
  • Valid Illinois Driver's License
  • Auto Insurance

  • Previous phlebotomy experience in an acute care hospital setting

Schedule: Part time, Days, 4 am-8 am week day shifts; 5 am - 1:30 pm every other weekend
