Patient Transporter - Ahuja Medical Center - Full Time - Day/Evening Rotation

Description- Escorts, transports patients to and from the various nursing divisions as well as other ancillary departments ensuring patient safety during transport.
- Assists patients when necessary to change clothes and dress into hospital gown.
- Assists moving patients onto and off the x ray tables as needed.
- Delivers and picks up x rays and related items from various divisions and the main Radiology File Room.
- Coordinates patient transport with technologists and nurses to avoid delays and to ensure department efficiency.
- Previous employment in Radiology, hospital or patient care setting preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, knowledge of wheeelchairs, hospital beds and transport carts.
Qualifications- High School Equivalent / GED
- BCLS certified preferred, but will be provided by hospital if necessary.
