Looking for part-time work in an awesome environment with a flexible schedule-this role could be for you!

Overall:: The shipping team is responsible for picking, packing and shipping merchandise to our customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Picking the orders for the direct-to-consumer sales channel
• Packaging direct-to-consumer orders for final shipment
• Labeling packages for shipment
• Delivering packages to outside carriers
• Warehouse maintenance and daily cleaning to meet industry safety and sanitation codes
• Completion of associated distribution paperwork and resolution of discrepancies
• Inspection of items to ensure brand standards and quality are met

Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• Attention to detail
• Ability to read and write in English
• Computer Skills Preferred

Availability:

• Schedule will vary from week to week and average less than 30 hours per week
• Department hours are Monday-Thursday 6AM to 5:30PM

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand for up to 2 hour periods at a time, and to lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Fine finger & manual dexterity using both hands in order to inspect, pack, tape, and manually move or place product
• Exertion of force on and against product for process flow
• Full range of motion for frequent pushing, pulling, twisting, stooping, reaching, grasping and repetitive movements
• Ability to walk on wet and dry surfaces

Work Environment:

• - Facility environment with temperatures ranging from -18ºF to 80ºF

We go to market through our own stores in the Puget Sound region, and nationally direct-to-consumer (web/catalog) and through upscale retailers. Our seafood products are produced at our custom smokehouse in Anacortes. SeaBear holds a Level 2 SQF Food Safety Certification by the Safe Quality Food Institute, a global standard for rigorous food safety management systems. Now, during the national coronavirus outbreak, we are laying on top of that additional deep cleaning and hand washing processes. Additionally, any employees who are showing any signs of sickness are required to stay home. And finally, for all of our team who can get their work done remotely, we have set them up to conduct their work from home until further notice, and limited our shipping days to Monday-Thursday.
