Overview: The office assistant works under the direct supervision of the office manager. Primary responsibilities include insurance eligibility patient registration and reconciliation within the patient registration software properly entering patient demographics as well as greeting patients while answering the phone lines. Also responsible for taking appropriate phone messages scheduling appointments creating referrals completing chart prep providing information to and for the patients maintenance and upkeep of the reception area distributing mail and assisting other employees as needed. The office assistant also identifies corrects and reports compliance insurance and billing anomalies as they are recognized.

The attractions are endless with so many historical sites to visit and a long list of museums and theaters.Qualifications: Education: High school diploma with emphasis on clerical courses or equivalent preferred.

Experience: Experience in a doctor's office preferably, some knowledge of coding and insurance helpful.
