Description Works under the direction of a responsible RN to provide safe, efficient, age-specific care to patients and families in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and/or sustain optimal health status. Work Schedule: 24 hours over a six week period 1 off shift: any evening or night, or one weekend either a Saturday / Sunday. Commit to a Monday Orientation and a Saturday orientation. Must have completed Foundations/Fundamental clinical rotation through nursing program. Successful completion of specialty area rotation may be required. Education: Current enrollment in an accredited professional A.D.N. or B.S.N. nursing program with satisfactory academic record required. Current enrollment in a professional BSN nursing program with satisfactory academic record preferred. Experience/Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of nursing process and practice. Successful completion of a Nursing Fundamentals course required. Special Skills, Equipment: Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies (i.e. stethoscope, thermometers, glucometers, and electronic monitoring devices). Excellent communication skills.
