Overview: This position serves as Nurse Clinical/Emergency) at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center (DDEAMC), Fort Gordon, GA.
Ft Gordon is adjacent to Augusta, GA famous for its major attraction, The Masters Golf Tournament. Ft Gordon has a moderate year-round climate and offers close proximity to metropolitan areas, beaches along the Atlantic Ocean and the Appalachian Mountains.

  • Serve as Triage Nurse, perform patient assessments and independently determine and assign priority of care based on patient's presenting symptoms and physical manifestations, using established protocols.
  • Provide professional nursing care and treatment to a wide variety of critically ill patients due to military training accidents, motor vehicle crashes, gunshot wounds, suicide attempts, cardiac arrest, respiratory distress, drug overdose, etc.
  • As Charge Nurse, perform delegated administrative duties to ensure appropriate staff supervision and make critical decisions about staffing issues to ensure safe, quality, and timely patient care.
  • Independently intervene using established protocols to prevent deterioration of the patient's condition or restore hemodynamic stability.
  • Coordinate appropriate patient admissions or transfers to and from the Emergency Department.
Qualifications: US Citizenship required
Applicants must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination and possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
Possession of a diploma, associate's degree, bachelor's degree, or master's degree from a professional nursing educational program and at least one full year of professional nursing experience.
