About the Position: The Multifamily Asset Manager will be responsible for asset managing a portfolio of the Company's nationwide Section-8 and LIHTC properties. The position is ideally suited for a highly motivated, detail oriented individual with a solid asset management background, and strong work ethic. This individual should have the desire to be a part of a rapidly expanding company, and work within a team of other highly motivated individuals. This position will report to the Director of Asset Management.


Duties will include:

  • Responsibility for overall portfolio management and profitability

  • Oversee 3rd party property management firms to ensure optimal property performance through strict systems and controls

  • Ensure the oversight and implementation of the property business plan and budget

  • Analyze property financials and performance metrics in pursuit of maximizing revenue and minimizing expenses

  • Provide recommendations and implement changes for property improvements based on thorough analysis and experience

  • Prepare narratives and financials for investor reporting

  • Assist in the development and monitoring of strategies to maximize asset values within the portfolio

  • Complete property inspections as part of monitoring property performance, management execution and property capital needs

  • Negotiate major vendor contracts and pursue portfolio wide expense reductions through vendor bidding

  • Problem solve property and portfolio level issues through research, analysis and implementation

  • Oversee preparation for HUD REAC inspections

  • Implement and monitor capital improvement projects

  • Assist in conducting due diligence and financial modeling for new acquisitions and dispositions


Following are the requirements for the position:

  • 3 - 5 years experience in multifamily asset management

  • Prefer Section 8 or other low-income experience, but not required

  • Bachelors degree (prefer real estate, business or finance)

  • Excellent MS Excel skills

  • Strong management skills, with an ability to work independently and multitask

  • Highly motivated, with a positive "can do" attitude

  • An analytical approach with a results oriented mindset

  • Ability to think like an owner in all decision making

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a willingness to do what is necessary

  • Travel to properties across the nation will be required
