Memory Caregiver Personal Care Assistant PCA All Shifts

Employment Type : Full-Time

At The Village at Sydney Creek in San Luis Obispo, our caregivers perform personal care tasks for Seniors with Dementia including:

• Assistance with personal hygiene and grooming, feeding and ambulation
• Fostering positive relationships between individuals served and others
• Ensuring client safety and maintaining a safe environment
• Encouraging self-help activities
• Reporting changes in residents' condition to nursing
• Documenting services provided
• Performing light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, and cleaning

Qualifications:

• A dedication to seniors and their well-being
• Experience in senior caregiving, CNA/NA and dementia experience preferred, but not required
• 18 years of age or older
• High school degree/GED
• Ability to communicate (verbally and written) with all levels of personnel.
• Ability to handle physical aspects of job, including bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and walking for periods of time.
• Ability to work a 4 (days) on, 2 (days) off schedule
