Progressive Spine and Orthopaedics - Englewood, NJ

Very busy multi-specialty Orthopaedic Surgical Group/Facility seeks medical paralegal to join our team. Our company is responsible for submitting claims and appealing underpaid and/or denied claims on behalf of out-of-network providers. We are looking for punctual and dedicated team players who have impeccable organization skills and are comfortable on the phone. Candidates must also be able to adhere to strict deadlines.
Responsibilities include:

• Following up on submitted medical bills (major med, PIP/MVA, & WC)
• Draft appeal letters on behalf of providers and patients in order to overturn insurance denials/underpayments, and to reduce patient responsibility.
• Answer phones and handle inquiries (i.e. patients, attorneys, insurance adjusters, etc.)
• Communicate with patient attorneys in order to resolve outstanding balances (including negotiating settlements)
• Any and all administrative tasks requested by management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Englewood, NJ: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred)
