YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO OUR SUCCESS!: A Medical Assistant contributes to AHF’s mission by presenting a friendly, helpful face to clients seeking STI, HIV and HEPC testing and treatment. Works to create a positive client experience and harmonious work environment. Within their duties of administering STI testing, documenting / closing patient charts, working alongside Medical Providers. This position has the opportunity to give above and beyond service that enhances the reputation and consistency of AHF services. This will encourage clients to routinely test for STI’s recommend AHF Public Health Programs and end stigma.
Through communication with clients and staff medical Assistant can maintain patient flow, assist staff and give clinical direction support and daily operation of the lab. By documenting, closing and reviewing patient charts the Medical Assistant can help ensure the patient is receiving the best quality of care.
Medical Assistant can enhance the experience of other team members by lending a helpful hand, assisting providers and viewing the clinic as a team effort. In addition can provide feedback to Office Administrator and Program Manager about how to improve services. The medical Assistant adds consistent value to the team being nimble, problem solving and using their experience, knowledge and passion to achieve the greatest client experience
