Job Description The opportunity has arisen for a Manager of the End User Computing (EUC) Subject Matter Expert (SME) Solution Engineers. A VMware SME is a deeply technical resource focused on a specific set of technologies who can help customers architect technical outcomes (both pre and post sales) and technical articulate our solutions. The successful candidate will ensure the day-to-day functioning, management, motivation, recruitment, scheduling and training of the EUC SME Solutions Engineering team. The candidate should be able to manage a broad ecosystem of resources (both technical and people) to drive customer success as well as financial performance. The EUC SME Solution Engineering Manager must be able to hire, motivate, develop, mentor and retain the highest quality SME Solution Engineers who are capable of developing and delivering VMware's End User Computing initiatives. Manage an EUC Subject Matter Expert (SME) Solution Engineering team including hiring, compensation plans, performance reviews, team/individual goal setting and professional development Partner with EUC SE Managers, PSO, EUC BU Engineering and Customer Success across Americas to support customer pipeline through successful technical validation on customer engagements Build domain expertise with the subject matter expert team to share knowledge and best practices across Access, WS1 Unified Management and Horizon Work collaboratively with Product Management and Engineering during the development, launch and continuing refinement of VMware End User Computing products Tracking and documentation via Gateau (Jira) of all team activities and participation in escalations and prioritization of customer/feature requests across all EUC stakeholders. This will include technical blockers to sales and adoption blockers. Significant management experience with proven success building & managing a world-class systems engineering or architect teams Ideally experience of working for a major End User Computing hardware or software vendor. Preferably experience in technology related work as an Enterprise End User Computing Architect, Solutions Engineer or Consultant Knowledge and understanding of VMware SASE go to market with respect to Zero Trust, Security. This should include Network security and principles of SDN. (Software Defined Networking) Proven track record of selling services as part of a solution Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and possess strong leadership and troubleshooting abilities.
