About the Corporate Facilities and Security Team

The corporate security and facilities teams work closely together. Communication, flexibility, and finding creative ways to solve problems is the focus of the team. The team is focused on rapid resolutions to problems in our corporate facilities and supporting our retail locations throughout the region. The team leverages personal and professional networks to provide problem resolution.

Overview of the Manager, Corporate Security role

You are responsible of every member of the LP Department to adhere to the minimum performance standards of the LP department, as determined by the Director of Facilities, and to actively contribute to the overall success of the company. Professionalism, integrity, team play, effective communication and dedication are fundamental qualities of any manager in the LP Department. You are responsible to do everything possible to protect the assets of the company and to reduce loss.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, schedule, train, supervise, and evaluate the daily work of associates employed to protect WS corporate properties
  • Specify, budget for, track, manage and report on physical security assets, equipment, services, and vendors
  • Develop, recommend, test, and maintain security policies and procedures for corporate facilities with the advice and consent of the company’s VP of Loss Prevention
  • Act as liaison for the LP Department with other departments or organizations in activities related to the security of Williams-Sonoma corporate facilities
  • Support corporate management and LP Department Leadership in all issues related to the security of Williams-Sonoma Corporate facilities
  • Conduct or direct research, investigations, special projects, or litigation support as assigned
  • Ensure that a high standard of performance and customer service are present in all work assigned or responsible for
  • Develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with other Williams-Sonoma Departments
  • Complete additional assignments or perform other duties as directed
  • Hire, schedule, train, supervise, and evaluate the daily work of associates employed to protect WS corporate properties
  • Specify, budget for, track, manage and report on physical security assets, equipment, services, and vendors
  • Operate a computer and communicate via telephone
  • Transport materials and equipment and lift, move and carry objects up to 50 pounds on a limited basis

Criteria

  • A Bachelor's degree is recommended.
  • Minimum of 3 years of physical security experience in a management role.
  • Minimum of 3 years of financial budget management and vendor accounts management.
  • Proficiency in using Word, Excel and other Microsoft programs.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Alarm Systems, Access Control, CCTV or other site monitoring systems.
  • Experience in the security of a multi-location corporate environment.
  • Experience with a work order management system like Service Channel.
  • People management experience.
  • P&L management experience.
  • One of the following certifications:
    • Certified Protection Professional (CCP) recommended
    • Physical Security Professional (PSP) recommended
  • Include Technical Requirements and clarify what will be performed with each software. For example, MS Excel required to create pivot tables, advanced formulas, and functions such as VLOOKUPS.
  • Ability to perform work onsite in the (San Francisco, Rocklin, Portland, New York, San Jose) office full-time pending state, local, and Company return-to-work guidance during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.
