Walsh University is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician.to perform skilled electrical and mechanical work.

Responsibilities

Perform skilled electrical and mechanical work in the installation, repair, and maintenance of kitchen appliances, equipment and systems that utilize electronics.The Maintenance Technician maintains all aspects of the of the physical plant (light plumbing, carpentry, painting etc.) and performs occasional work on rooftops and high locations.

Requirements

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Participation in a formal electrician apprenticeship training program, electrical training program or a minimum of three years of verifiable skilled industrial or commercial electrical experience.

Knowledge Of:
Electrical theory and principles
Electrical wiring systems
National Electric Code
Diagnose and repair variety of equipment.
Electrician tools and equipment (e.g., benders, power monitoring meters)
Appropriate safety practices and Personal Protective Equipment

Skills In:
Mathematics associated with trade applications
Reading (e.g., technical manuals), writing, (e.g., work logs), and accurately follow oral, written, and graphic instructions
Diagnosing problems and determining appropriate action
Utilizing computerized equipment (e.g., laptops, personal computers etc.)
Operate hand and power tools

Ability To:
Demonstrate work processes, train others Communicate with University personnel and public (e.g., to gather information about needed repairs, to explain problems encountered)
Diagnose problems and take appropriate action
Operate motorized vehicles and equipment
