SUMMARY: The Maintenance Coordinator performs work for all NRHC teams and must be able to work well with staff and accommodate their needs as far as scheduling projects. This position assignments and are hours determined by current needs NRHC.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must be self-motivated with the ability to prioritize projects in an independent work environment. Must have experience with various hand tools required for this position and must be knowledgeable of various techniques for assembling furniture and fixtures. Must have reliable transportation, auto liability insurance, valid California drivers license and own tools. Must maintain patient confidentiality, and be flexible to meet the needs of patients and staff schedules.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ESSENTIAL DUTIES: sitting, standing, walking, bending/stooping, squatting/crouching, balancing, reaching, twisting/turning, pulling, stand up lifting to 50 pounds, speaking/hearing on phone and in person, reading, writing, close eye work, repetitive motion of hands, fine and gross manipulation, up/down and side/side hand motion, travel by auto to other sites, independent problem solving, working with others, exposure to public/staff, frequent change, meeting deadlines.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Move furniture and other goods, haul loads to the dump, assemble and repair furniture and fixtures as needed.

Perform special projects, such as, light remodeling and other construction that does not require a licensed contractor.

Travel to various sites of NRHC for ongoing needs assessment.

All work assignments are to be signed off by Facilities Manager when completed.

Maintain daily contact with the Facilities Manager to discuss work assignments and status of ongoing projects.

All work assignments are completed timely as directed by the Facilities Manager.

Satisfactory attendance.

Is responsive to supervisory feedback, utilizing constructive criticism, in a positive manner. Maintains open communication and observes chain of command.

Is a team player working well with peers and other staff.

Is sensitive to customer service issues, displaying a positive attitude to patients, co-workers, and the organization as a whole.

Maintains strict confidentiality. Does not disclose confidential information regarding patients, co-workers, or the organization to unauthorized individuals in or out of the organization.

Observes the dress code; appearance and grooming are appropriate.

Adheres to NRHC policies.
