Machine Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift
PURPOSE OF JOB:

Perform general mechanical, electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs and janitorial operations for flat glass manufacturing plant to ensure all plant equipment and facilities function effectively and downtime is

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Arrive for shift as assigned
• Experience with fabrication machinery diagnosis and repair
• Experience with hydraulics, CNC machinery, and electrical
• Upon arrival, use computer to review MPULSE maintenance work orders
• Prioritize work orders for urgency, performing those that have an immediate impact upon production first, then performing non-production related scheduled maintenance
• Address up to 10 maintenance work orders per day depending upon complexity
• Diagnose maintenance issues including pump leaks, damaged cords, worn tooling, etc. Notify supervisor if required maintenance is beyond your training or skill level
• Use lockout/tagout to properly de-energize equipment for maintenance and service
• Other duties as assigned

Skills:

• Read English at 12th grade level
• High school math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions
• Mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, hydraulic training and experience with a strong concentration in fabrication machinery diagnosis and repair.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Lift 70-80 lbs.~1x/hr; alternate standing, walking, and sitting for 8 hr/day; will kneel, twist, bend frequently; must wear appropriate PPE (typically safety shoes, safety glasses and cut-proof jacket) Must comply with all standard work instructions, posted signage, and written procedures for assigned tasks.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
